With Election Day on November 6th, people everywhere are encouraging Americans to get out and make their voices heard. Generation of people have fought and died so that everyone can be part of the political process without any stipulation. These activists have ranged from working class people to the rich and famous.
This year’s midterm elections have brought some of Hollywood’s biggest names literally to the front doors of many potential voters. These passionate individuals are gladly making their busy schedules to use their voices and influence to set an example for millions of Americans. Here are just a few of Hollywood’s stars who are making their voices heard.
Actor Michael B. Jordan (@michaelbjordan) teamed up with Color of Change Pac (@votingwhileblack) to go door to door in order to reach out to some of Georgia’s black voters. The humble manner of it all surprised and touched a number of the residents that he met. Jordan expressed great concern for fans to get out and do their part in the political process
Television icon and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey (@oprah) also made house calls in Georgia. Winfrey rang doorbells on behalf of Georgia Governor candidate Stacey Abrams (D-GA) (@staceyabrams). Oprah left voters stunned as they answered their doors for the daytime tv legend.
Singer Alicia Keys (@aliciakeys), YouTube star Liza Koshy (@lizakoshy), and Actress America Ferrera (@americaferrera) turned their efforts to recruit young voters into a fun girls’ trip. The awesome trio made a trip to Dallas, TX where they visited high schools and community colleges in the area to get young people excited about rocking their vote. They even visited some campaign field offices to spread enthusiasm for Democrats running in the area.
