Singer Ariana Grande has been named Billboard’s 2018 Woman of the Year. The announcement comes after a year of awesome ups and devastating downs for the artist.

When Grande’s 4th album, Sweetener, was released, it had the largest streaming week ever for a pop album by a female artist. The album has already given listeners smash hits like God is a Woman and Thank You, Next.

Grande may also have one of Hollywood’s biggest hearts. She’s been known to be an advocate for Black Lives Matter, the LGBTQ community, and mental health awareness just to name a few. In 2017, she raised $23 million for victims and families after the Manchester bombing took place outside of her concert. The artist will be honored on December 6th at the Billboard Women in Music Dinner and Awards Gala. Some of Billboard’s previous honorees have been Beyonce, Selena Gomez, and Adele.
